The decision to seek help is a difficult one.  Most people who decide to seek help have been suffering with emotional worries for a month or longer.  Their worries have started to affect relationships, jobs and hobbies.  By the time most people come to see me, they may have been told by a love one, doctor or therapist that they should have a professional evaluation.  An evaluation by a psychiatrist may determine if someone needs therapy/counseling, medication, both, or occasionally, no treatment at all.
